Fernando Pacheco

Fernando Pacheco Ortiz was born in Mexico City, DF, in 1959. He completed a degree in Graphic Communication Design at the Metropolitan Autonomous University, where he graduated in 1986. His penchant for drawing and painting became evident since then and since that year he has participated in numerous group exhibitions, among which to see and not paid, in the Museum of the City of Mexico (2000); and of the seen and the unseen, at the National Pedagogical University (2006). Individually, he has presented his work in prestigious forums : Doors, in the Hall of Plastic Mexicana (2004); Transitions at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, State of Mexico (2004), Symmetries in Diego Rivera- Anahuacalli (2008) Museum and Utopias Order

in the prestigious Aldama Fine Art Gallery (2009).

His work has been honored in various painting competitions, such as open doors, in the Hall of Plastic Mexicana in Mexico City (2001), which allowed him to become a member of the select list containing great masters of Mexican painting as Federico Cantu and Jose Chavez Morado.

As a painter Pacheco has been a finalist in several competitions, including the Fourth Art Competition "Freedom of Painting, Sculpture and Photography" in the Freedom Gallery in the city of Queretaro (2002) and the International Competition for Urban Art "and Public Art private emotions "Art Fest 05, held at the World Trade Center in Mexico City (2005), whose jury comprised of prestigious art critics like Teresa del Conde and Arnaldo Coen. From 2012 to 2015, his work has been part of the important Latin American Art auction organized by Morton Auction House.

Currently Pacheco explores the fusion of his painting with three-dimensional elements, as well as new formats for sculpture.
